Long After

I will still smile,
listen to songs,
that first leaf
of autumn, caught.
I'll still remember
jokes shared
and meals cooked,
the sourness of wine
on summer ledges.

I will remember
all and naught,
relegate to
distant banks
that grow with
rue and regret;

Long after,
so long after.

Memories or life in a cicle where pick up what is and what is gone ... so real to us forever and yet it has passed ... your words give life to now and then once again ... beautifull

The nostalgic feel to this really appeals to me. A wonderful poem.
