sitting alone and writing

Rubbish!

"That's rubbish!" she cries
As she swirls her pen through her words
With a stab-
Glad she still has reason enough
To know what she wrote was bad.
Then she twiddles with her hair
As she stares at a wall full blue
Shuffles to check the outside world
Sees no mysteries have accrued.
Sits again and takes up the pen
To continue her ballyhoo.

Is this how Caroline Grace writes?

Awesomely penned and constructed.

I have four full walls of blue in my little room where I sit waiting to catch the bird of ideas. May your ballyhoo continue.

I wonder: Is anything more characteristic of a real writer than an irrepressible self-critical faculty?

I like this vignette about the process of writing. Formidable opening lines as well as a nice wind-up at the end. Enjoyed it.
