why are extras extra?
It's that skin we rub together
As we contemplate
The breakfast table.
I insist on fruit each morning
I love to strawberry my mouth to seeds as
You adore the coffee strong
And then declare the "epa!"
About last night-
The pretend fight and the dancing
Followed by the first intertwining of
Shy minds that cannot hurry up.
It's not your skin I want...
I can feel your soul
As you hold me
The skin is just an extra.
