THAT LOVELY SUMMERS DAY
One summers day , I desidid to leave my house,Step out side , leaving my bills and debts behind,
I ignored the letters with '' Sir according to our
Records blah, blah,
I opened , clost the front dore , put on a smile ,
Took a deep breath , opened my eyes wide , taking in the lovely day ,
Walk a cross the road made down Dumpton lane ,
Made my way in to town ,
Past a mum her baby in it's pram , baby gurgling
Happily , we exchanged smile's '' it's a lovely day'',
We agreed , it was a lovely day,
Man with dog , I stopped , crouched down , stroked ,
Petted , the dog , it could of been a bitch , I did not check,
Well you don't do you ,
We agreed it was a lovely day , I got up wished them both
A good day,
As walked on meting people exchanging smiles ,
We all agreed it was a lovely day ,
Thro the ally I went , nice and cool , tree branches made it so ,
down to to St.Luke's avenue I reached , King street ,
Seeing people of all ages , all agreed it was a lovely day ,
Then I was looking in to York street , I saw Mack , sat on a bench ,
He was so thin , not seen him in a while ,
I walked across to big Mack , as he was called by all who know him ,
'' you on a dirt , Mack? '' I said with a smile,
''Na'' ,'' I've got asbestosis aint I'' ,'' I'm dyeing'',
That summers day , that lovely day , tears came to my eye's
