Though I might wish with all my might;
No face as hideous as my face
Was ever meant for Heaven's light - The Hunchback of Notre Dame
(Messy and disjointed, I know...sorry about that...)
Tracing Spirals
sometimes i daydream abouttracing the spirals on
your shadowy cheek
with one unholy finger;
but
that cannot be
for you are not mine
heaven does not smile down on us
god smiles down on you alone
and your lovely delicate
vulnerable friend
i know you will be hers
as surely as i know i will never be so
lovely or delicate or vulnerable
as she is
a new cherry blossom
barely opened and beautiful
not so am i
i have been crushed by the seasons
worn and washed out, my former
pale pink glow faded to
bleached white in the merciless sun
i am just a wilted flower and you want an intact blossom
just a few pathetic petals when you yearn
for a gorgeous bloom
so go now
leave me alone
alone with my heartache
and just let me sometimes daydream
about purity and wholeness
about beauty and happiness and
tracing loving spirals
across your angelic face
