I Sent You Away
I cannot say why suddenlyWithin one heartbeat
It felt right to give you up-
Perhaps we supped too fast
And deep and the entwining
Unravelled my ardour.
Now as I ponder your unscathed cheek
Coupled with my dancing feet
Your odour is scented away.
