Civil
They have had our votesPlaying to our phobias and
Foibles imagining as we slept
We became hollow people.
Manipulable and gullible-
Fearful.
Forgetting we will
Be only so long
Civil.
I wish we were allowed to have
A war of modernity
Where no one died
Of sad manipulations...those
That leave me feeling hungry
For some sane peace.
Did we not teach our children not
To look over there!
Wherever the other is pointing governmentally
As a civillian?
Did we teach them to sleep forever?
Awake sweet boys and girls
It's time to try again...
Try and say you did...
Get away from what we have done.
