I stirred my sugar in my coffee
too hard - I created a whirlpool
where I saw the bottom of my cup
and that inspired this poem.
~L.~
A vortex of stirred-up emotions
whirlpools around my shattered heart,
yet even after the surface is settled
my soul is still split apart.
I do not know why it happened
I am not sure when it began,
but someone that, with-my-life, I trusted
turned out to be a devious man.
So all the time I am in a mess
now constantly teary and sad,
but I know that things will get better
GOOD, in life, always generally follows the bad.
