c'est la vie
an elusive smile
cheshire in its desire
gives me reason to doubt
that i had you at all
vapid and crumbling connection
like bridges crumbling to dust
the foundation was never solid
prisoners forced to build fast
seize the fleeting moment
grasp, gasp, and slowly die
it was over before it began
c'est la vie; means nothing to me
