Very early in the morning when the sun is still half asleep and getting ready to poke her covers over the horizon, the morning moon sits in the sky anticipating the new day....
A Poem for Susan

Morning moon
I wonder sometimes when I find you
Looking at me so.
Do you linger in this sky
in early hours of this morn
Waiting for our Sun
To wake from Slumber's Rest?
Are you there within the night
An hour right before our Sun's Alarm
Was set to call him from His Sleep?
Or is it simply that you lost your way
In knowing the directions
Set by the planets a million years ago?
Or perhaps you just are thinking
This hour in the morning
Is not exactly the time for you to exit from the sky!
