Sounds and Bays and surf and shores have always been special places in my life. A photo from a friend in Denmark showed a pier in Limfjord Sound and this poem began to unfold! Enjoy it and cherish the quiet time before the coming of the wind!
A poem for Marianne

Sun-bleached, weathered, wooden dock
Stands ankle-deep by the side of the sound
Sunning herself and saying morning prayers ....
Peacefully taking in this windless, chilly air
Before the clouds and breeze of noon time
Find their way behind the coming
Of the sails and sloopes of weekend captains
Dancing to music of the rhythm of the tides!
But here in the morning and the smile of our Sun
All is still before the wind returns to rule our Limfjord Sound!
