THE TERRORS OF THE NIGHT

The night comes , birds fall silent ,

T V , radio , HI FI turned on ,

There sound keeping the silence ,

At bay,

The time arrives with hope of sleep ,

We lay down , then the fears of the morrow ,

Chinese whispers in our heads sound clear ,

As if the voice of the pending morrow is close ,

To our ears ,

The whispers of the days events work in our heard,

Fears of what the posty will bring , house to be reprocesst ,

Leckey , gas , phon , water bill's , over draft debt ,

All in the coming morrows post ,

The days casualty's in Afghanistan and Iraq ,

News reports of the latest dead arriving home ,

Aye , the terrors of the night.

well realism at it's best, this is where the rubber hits the road, what do we do? I would deal with them one by one and wait for the answers so you can have peace.

Well done Ken. Realism in its stark scaryness.
