Air

She sees now
How the weight she carried
Was worth the wait...
How the strength was strung to her
As she waited in her corner for
A life lost to begin a new summons.

She cannot regret the loneliness...
It was this that brought her the strength
To know all about herself.
Learning that love is never lost...
It is an eternal companion.

Her lost love is making her able
To love again.
She is feeling as light as air.

At first I thought this was the single mother giving birth. But then I realized it was another burden. What a feeling of a burden being lifted! To be light as air again! Gripping poem.
