Love. Trust. Deceit. Lust.

Love. Something a child once knew.

Trust. Something that should never be broken.

Deceit. Something that cuts real deep.

Lust. Something that can make one lose control.

Spirited and carefree
As you would expect a child to be
What was about to come to pass
The little girl could not foresee
Her innocence. Her beauty. Her freedom.
Robbed from her in a flash
Struck with fear, unable to fathom
Her delicate heart, once pure
Wounded from the lash
Staring out the window
Her heart silently cries
Dirty. Guilty. Shamed.
She is no longer his prize.
She doesn't know yet
That she will soon despise
The endless guilt that entangles her
What did she do to deserve this?
So innocent, so beautiful, so pure
The pain of her frail heart
Becoming too much to endure
Only four years old
She prays that God will save her
And with the faith that a little child had
He did.
Looking at the door
She planned her great escape
But getting her body to move
Was the hardest decision
She ever had to make
"Where are you going?" he asked
Frightened but determined,
Her only focus was on that door
"Come back here" he said
Trembling with fear,
She kept on running away
Free at last.
But not for long...
What began with a man's corrupt lust
Ended with a child's world
Turned to dust
A love dissolved, a shattered heart
A little girl lost and broken
All because
the one person she loved the most
lost her trust

Hope. All that a little girl is left with.

A beautifully written tragedy. Heartrending and yet, there is something so powerful in the narration, admiration fills my soul.

Be assured, they do get theirs! The universe provides justice in its own time and way.

Good work, keep writing, if it saves one child, the effort in writing is worth a childs heart in one piece.

Smiling at you

very sad and moving piece.....makes one realise the presence of evil in human heart....the last line 'Hope. All that a little girl is left with.' is really brilliant.

This is a beautifully written story of a very ugly experience. It hit my heart head on. This story of betrayal in the most evil way, is shared by too many shattered spirits. This is an evil straight from hell that wounds the precious, innocent victims in every possible way. Recovery is a life-long struggle. But I have seen this up close and personal and know that victory can be had. May God stay close and hope rise with you every morning as you take on this mosterous foe.
