Suits

Putting away the well worn acerbity
She smiles so many miles wide
Knowing how her perspicuity failed her
Then drained her.

Stretching into the suns rays
She owns her own skeleton...
The bones she knows are old now
Yet strangely still elastic
Not yet plastic...
She likes how her age
Suits her...
Knowing how she might drop
Dead gorgeous.

Eloquently written, great word perspicuity, the final lines make this poem stand out, still smiling.

I think I am more comfortable in my skin as I have got older and I think that always reflects how others see and you see the world - of course we're drop dead gorgeous :-)

It is the acid test! When we're still in orbit, contemplating free-fall.
