Missing Person
Sifting trough the garbage bin
i came across a thought
that led me to a memory
of a mystery i hadn't sought
To find the missing person
whose coat hangs upon my wall
that disappeared long ago
without a curtain call
It really is a mystery
that i do not understand
sliding out the window
to an unknown foreign land
The dark abyss just called one day
and invited me to dance
the taste of longing on its lips a
a suicidal trance
What started a curiosity
my strength could brush aside
has got me by the throat now
and there's no where left to hide
So i look into the mirror
of this missing persons face
and rummage through
the garbage bin
for the remains
of an earthly embrace.
