Having Made the Error

Having made the error
thinking I knew you
must I reavaluate
personal levels;
stricter limits
of love trust.
I therefore
will stand
and guard
such heart
from injuries
lying, waiting
around future's
batblind corners.
We victims need
helping out hands
when love fractures
biting, eating chunks
with those rotten teeth
that lied and whispered
to unknown secret lover
My defences organised
weakness will become
something in my past
Washing the hurting
Cleansing the soul
Never to become
the next victim
at the ending
of romance.
Not naive
Knowing
Wiser
Safe

This cries of pain and loss and hurt. I can feel the walls built up around it. So much emotion. From such pain comes such beautiful words.
