INSIGHT TO WHAT ''IT'S'' LIKE

I was talking about what it's like ,

As I had been giving an insight ,

By insiders , who had been there ,

I recommend a book ,

To some who wonted ,

Even needed to know ,

Written by some who'd been there ,

A reel insider ,

Written warts and all ,

Not prity , fore sure ,

Of what the writer wrote ,

He saw was apart of it ,

Saw what it dos to men's mind's ,

When you find the answers ,

You man not like the answers to ,

Your questions ,

The truth , can heart , big time ,

So be careful ,

You maybe better of , living with lies ,

Delusions , than risk being deluded ,

I never herd from the person again ,

So don't know if they read the book ,

You may not care to know the truth

So be careful, you may not like it at all.

This leaves me breathless Ken;
a point of a view...

Dear Ken,
This indeed is a thought provoking poem! It is right, we may not get to the truth in reading a book, because either the whole truth is not narrated, or we do not understand enough to get to the truth.
Every one interprets the written word in his own way. But then that is the beauty of creative writing, it can have layers of meaning, and there is a truth for every one there, provided one gets to it.
Love,
Zoya

Ken, you have written words that are truly wise and insightful. Sometimes the same book can be read by a dozen people, and each of them will take away a different meaning. The same thing is true with poetry.

As to your insight, spot on! None of us ever know the truth that is intended in conversation or in writing by the author. For, as you correctly state, the truth can be harder to accept than a lie. The challenge in life is to know who can accept the truth as it stands, rather than defend a lie to those who cannot understand the meaning of the lessons of life.

Bravo!
