Waiting For Something To Happen
Waiting for something to happen
Never quite know what
Something to enliven or dampen
To untie our boggled mind's knot
When we reek with what's stifling stale
Repetition smothers the mind
Boredom's like living in jail
Creativity over confined
But if we search for something contrasting
To emerge from our stifling stew
Be sure it's newness is lasting
So our boredom doesn't renew
