My Animal

I can stay away now...
Throughout the heat
I enjoyed you all as the
Weather welded us well...
Today it rained and cooled-
Sigh at last...
Now I may pause into me
Not have to be so sociable
May creep home and dwell
Into the delicious silences
That decrease my thoughts...
Become less creased less human
More beast loosely leashed
Who fingers her appliances
in quietness's that calm.

Adored you are yet still
I need to be without you
I would explain more but doubt
You would approve my animal.

Isn't it nice to be able to enjoy both good company and solitude. I enjoy having my thoughts shaken up by others, then the solitude of filing all the little bits.
