for my son
Inevitable wall of life.
In you I see my best parts
Flourish...
Myself renewed and sparkling.
You are an oak tree in the autumn...
As you drop your leaves multicoloured
Into the path to dispel old wraths
They play around my feet then float
Above the dark waters bringing this
Glow of hope to my eyes.
I know this tree will never
Perish...
As I straddle atop the wall
I count all my little acorns.

Acorns
You are me before I hit theInevitable wall of life.
In you I see my best parts
Flourish...
Myself renewed and sparkling.
You are an oak tree in the autumn...
As you drop your leaves multicoloured
Into the path to dispel old wraths
They play around my feet then float
Above the dark waters bringing this
Glow of hope to my eyes.
I know this tree will never
Perish...
As I straddle atop the wall
I count all my little acorns.
