Golden Age

Hearing aids and toothy dentures
Are two of golden age adventures
Walking crutches and walking canes
Aid alleviating aged pains

Sleepy eyes and cloudy vision
Sometime need some supervision
The Golden Age, though grand to get to
Is not completely tres beaucoup

Well it's good to see that the march of time has not dented your sense of humour. Thanks again to both of you for bringing a smile to the start of my day. :-)

Clever and witty use of rhyme--dentures-adventures, vision-supervision. A joy to read. Makes me think of a saying attributed to the actress Bette Davis: "Old age is not for sissies."

Yet, the golden years do bring some wisdom, I'd say. And a firm grasp of how to survive and finally knowing what's important and what's not nearly as significant as it seemed when we were younger.

Indeed, not completely!

:-,?
