High Expectation
If your ships been slow in coming in
And the gold you found was more like tin
It's not a surprising revelation
You suffer from high expectation
If your gal seems cold and far away
When it seems nothing's left in life's buffet
There's a very probable explanation
You suffer from high expectation
If with life so bleak you're filled with tension
Each step you take with apprehension
It doesn't take much speculation
To recognize high expectation
This malady you have is not unique
Not everyone can reach their peak
Many have your same frustration
Over burdened by high expectation
