willow whisps
willows wending
westward weaving
why why why
must I forsake you
as the sun sinks
deep too deep
within the sky

O the waters
of our rivers
tired and weary
from mountain stream
fast decended
o're rock and craglet
then through
pine forest's
scented dream
upon the meadow
cattle grazing
boy and girl
splash within
broadening streams
then past haystacks
still wet and steamy
ricks and rocks
together form
gentle vales
of hidden yearning
silent valleys
neath the storm

willows whisp
willow wendings
westward weaving
why why why
must I forsake thee
as the sun sinks
deep too deep
within the sky

Deep and full of absolute longing, not wanting to leave, this is heartwrenchingly beautiful Peter - the pictures of the minds eye that we want to take and hold with us forever

There seems to be some wayward longing here, I feel the desperation in the alliteration. almost that the picture you are seeing you do not want to let go of for whatever reason. I loved it.
