Lessons Learned

What of this shell of embodiment?

'Tis nothing in the face of the soul.

As the shell crumbles and cracks,

that which we call ourselves only gets stronger.

It is a shallow man who flaunts beauty,

and a strong man who shines from within.

Don't speak to me of strengths that build castles;

tell me, instead, your tales of lessons learned.

Lessons learnt means mistakes made.

Talking about the superficial beauty of
the human shell is like discussing your
stock portfolio while at a meeting
on human rights.

I like this..

An inspiring write; the last line is wonderfully alliterative.

I like this one. It's rather simplistic, but that is the charm to it I think.
