OF COURSE THE GOLF OF MEXICO IS WORSE!!

America , Americans are suffering worse ,

Far worse than the mere people of Bhopal ,

Americans have died ,

Er well yes a few more died in Bhopal ,

Er so what? ,

Or am I being bit cynical hear?

Your profits doing Union Carbide?

In 18 months, I wonder how many more parts per million of complex petrochemical molecules will be lapping the North Atlantic shores of the UK? These are global catastrophes and nationalistic positions impede having international standards that might just prevent this sort of thing happening anywhere.

I think both are things that happen, but shouldn't under any circumstances. Weather It is Union Carbide or British petrolium, there is no room for error. These catastrophes do not compare. They are not parallel. They become exponential in effect, not adding but multiplying. The names of the companies mean nothing. They are multinationals. Their ships wear flags, the colours of convenience. They control countries and elections. They answer to the elite of the shareholders, where ever they live. Names have long since ceased to mean anything. Rolls Royce is German, the image of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is owned by Walt Disney. Those who are so ignorant as to blame anyone or anything British for this aren't worth listening to. The "colateral" damage, as the Americans like to say, is appraisable for Bhopal as time has passed and statistics have been evaluated. Sadly, the long term forcast of what the gasses in the atmosphere will cause hasn't been widely publicized (yet?)
