Indifference is poverty
In black
In black
She is dressed in black
But her heart is still pure of gold.
A feminine entity
Troubled, unsure
Yet her gentleness
Still liberates our souls.
She is supporting the weight
Of a world unjust
Built from pillars of shifting sands
And as hard as she tries
She can not dissuade
The people from their fickle demands.
So who will share
The weight that she holds
Succour this pure heart
Pure Heart of Gold.
For indifference is poverty
And we will all be poor
If we take her for granted
And demand from her yet more!
