All Our Yesterdays

Today, and all our yesterdays
Retreat to unreality
Tomorrows come and wash away
Our past with all finality

Memories of the past
Nebulously fade
Forever, they can't last
They darken in our shade

We must live our life in the 'now'
And to the 'new', be all receptive
In this way we might somehow
Keep yesterdays in perspective

With out our yesterdays
we can not have our today's
and our tomorrows
with out our memories
we can we not bore the young
and teach and worn them
