THE FLOODS IN PAKISTAN

The rain fell

Walter all life

Depends

When the rain

Becomes a flood

Then life all life

Washed away

Yet one hundred meters

No flooding at all

Crops grow

Cattle graze

Shortages of staple food

Profits grow

A starving mother

Baby suckling at her breast

That has no mothers milk

Obscene is it not

How simple, how true. This world is crazy. People starve whilst others throw away good food because it's the 'wrong shape'. Floods one year, hosepipe bans the next. I liked your poem for its truth and simplicity.
