As soon as we take our first breath the journey begins to find that special one, needs to be read slowly. Inspired by a dear heart for all our hearts.

Manque d'air à la naissance

Ever since birth
i have struggled to breathe
the air was thin and unwanted
but you are the sweet summer breeze
the cool autumn mist
the scent - from every perfumed spring flower

The air is so rich
and i breathe so deeply
and want for nothing more.

And the crimson rain of your heart
falling softly
timeless
timeless
falling so softly
as each tear touches my life
it seeps into my very soul.

And falling gently
through the cascade of your thoughts
I begin to understand
and want for nothing more.

So my ghost
my shadow
can you hold me
and never let me go?
for i have waited long
in dreams of dark and blue
for a heart such as yours
to hold me close
beneath the purple moon.

You are the sweet summer breeze
you are all
I ever need.

Rik, dear, I just read F.i.in.e Moods translation in French of this poem and came back to savour it once more. I loved it then, I love it now!

Especially these lines:
"for i have waited long
in dreams of dark and blue
for a heart such as yours
to hold me close
beneath the purple moon."

Your poetry always moves me!

Where are you dear friend? long time no see!

(((Hugs)))
Love, Zoya

Exquisite and so romantic...and you know i can't resist such lavishly spoken words of love in a poem. This one speaks to my own soul's yearning for that special one. I adore these lines:

for i have waited long
in dreams of dark and blue
for a heart such as yours
to hold me close
beneath the purple moon.

Such beauty in this one Rik!

To be able to breathe,
That summer breeze,
Very few can dream,
To hold close to heart,
Only a lucky few can ever
Penetrate that thin veil
Of hesitation,
So fragile, yet so hard
To see through in the dark...

You are of the lucky few,
So, don't let it pass you,
The opportunity you have,
To breathe to inhale,
Through the thin veil,
Lift it and see through,
There is a whole world,
Waiting for you!

((((Hugs dear Rik, I think you 're in love!)))))
(((((OoH! The lucky girl!)))))

Love, xxx, Zoya

Sweet and beautiful.. I like the rhythm, and the way you allow the words flow through the poem. Your direction to read this slowly, made all the difference. Good stuff...
