Beach
I am on a beach facing westWatching an energetic surf toss spray
To softly haze the air enough to best
The sun to bathe us gently as we play.
Sand and salt pepper my skin and hair
So I count the waves once more before
I plunge into the world of bubbling airy
Brine that will tumbling laughingly restore
Me to some other part of the shore.
I may later swim in the moonlight
Memorise the silver shine...
Just now I am basking in sunbeams
Threading shells onto fishermans lines.
