Anamnesis

Today, I got the answer
To the reason of your departure

Since you were gone,
I tried not to think about you
I tried not to miss you
I tried

I failed

But now that I know the reason why
I am more than awestruck by God's miracles
He is indeed fair in his decisions
He indeed wants our good
He indeed loves us

I hold no grudge against you
My darling poet
You are to me a sweet anamnesis
I am thankful for what you gave me

The bond we shared, only the two of us
Knows it will live on
No matter how far apart we are

For, what's a poet without his emotions?
What's a body without a soul?
What's a heart without love and compassion?

They are meant to be together
Transcending space and time
Never to be apart.
