Just Me

I am not
A knight
In shining armor
To protect me from your misery
Here to rescue you from the dragon's lair

I am not
A magician
In hooded cloak
To isolate me from humanity
Who can wave a wand and make you whole

I am not
A goddess
On Mount Olympus
Invulnerable in immortal light
Able with my powers to banish the dark

I am just
Me
Vulnerable
Every emotion a nerve exposed
And you can hurt me
And I can only let you fall

I like the way this is written, Nancy, but, really, I was hoping that you'd be able to save me.

I enjoy the play between the first and second person in this and how you describe yourself by expressing who you are not.
Thanks, Nick
