A hope

Failed attempts I ponder upon,
chances ahead, yet courage bereft,
failure's silhouette, the dark face haunts,
behind gleams the light of success.
Heart, mind and souls synergy strains,
through a burst of tears, often,
confidence turns as brittle as silence,
fear breaches, our spirit it softens.
Momentary pain, hope that breaks,
a blend of emotions it spurts,
open mind, a plan shaped to slake,
molded upon success's thirst.
Through life's dry and rugged road,
a better time's mirage I hope to see,
the eternal healer's ship, a wish to be aboard,
upon the water, triumph's reflection, that's me.
