LACK OF TRUST AND FAITH

Based upon experiences of mum, dad and self ,

I've no trust in medics at all , left ,

I may or may not wake up in the morning ,

I have one of those ''things'' , what ever thy maybe ,

Maybe it will pass , maybe it wont ,

The morrow , will revel one way or t' other

I don't have total faith in doctors (for one thing, like everyone else, they're reluctant to give people bad news), but I also don't have a lot of faith in my body's recuperative powers.

You know I do too. Funny thing is that my Nan was a practising physician for as long as I can remember. And I trust her almost implicitly. But out there my experience has been different. Medics are people too... and that is saying much about the medical profession. I can only pray that each of us finds at least one or two that are good for us. After all, they are more medically versed than we are. My really awesome GO lives and practices in NSW, about 1,000 kms away from where I live. I guess I make do until I find someone good locally.

Sooner or later "one of those things" will kill us . . . may yours not be one of those yet. I understand your perspective, one many people share . . . but my grandson from birth has endured several potentially life-ending issues and doctors performed miracles - there is no other way to say it - and tomorrow he will be fourteen. Doctors are like the rest of us, some are competent, some not, and some few make miracles.
