Blind Date
Not prepared to meet her dream soul-mate
She skeptically agreed to this frivolous blind-date
Yet, when he arrived, so handsome and tall
Her fears were allayed, he wasn't Neanderthal
Their evening began simply enough
Casual "hellos", with no extra fluff
He looked her over, as she did he
Eyeing each other surreptitiously
As they left together, he held her hand gently,
Her face became flushed, flushed quite intensely
"Love at first sight"? She couldn't believe it
To believe lightning struck, she couldn't conceive it
But lightning did strike, they're now happily wed
So for one and all, it needs to be said
Blind-dates, though scary, with low expectation
Can be, they discovered, great cause for elation
