DAY TIME NIGHT TIME

The day is almost over ,

Sky slowly changing from ,

Day to evening , all to soon ,

The day will seem more like night ,

A day that promised so little ,

That gave much less than that ,

The gloom gathers , looking ,

For some wear , some one to settle on ,

Time to make a cup of tea

"A day that promised so little / That gave much less than that" . . . I prefer to believe (have to believe) that the promise of a day is what we give to it, invest of ourselves in it. It is we who give it value and purpose, not the other way around.
