I Do Not Think
I do not thinkI could rule a country.
Or you or anyone.
But I am learning
By myself to live
With you and others.
I am tired of the charges
We have to pay
To live on our own planet.
I am one of the lucky ones.
Who can sleep tomorrow.
No matter how they tell me
I control my life they dither
Into corners to make deals
About themselves becoming richer.
I do think they are not about
Anything I can witness honestly.
They rule us out of greed.
I do think I remember
Simmers and how easily
People can go off the boil.
