Little Under Their Hat
If they could only be muzzled forever
Those who believe they're oh so clever
Who claim to know where all things are at
When in truth there's little under their hat
They're the clowns who quote all tired clichés
The dullards who constantly seek to amaze
They truly believe they've been wonderfully feted
To be the greatest and wonderfully rated
The buffoons who believe their humor's the best
With their humor, in fact, we're most unimpressed
The whole world must know they're stalwart and bravest
With their bravado on show, they're doubtless the greatest
They can hum all the fugues of immortal Bach
They know they paint better than immortal Braque
They sing clever tunes of Gilbert and Sull
But in spite of all that, they're oh so dull
If they could only be muzzled forever
Those who believe they're oh so clever
Who claim to know where all things are at
When in truth there's little under their hat
