This poem is dedicated to my uncle Kenneth Siyabu who died on a fatal road accident on 17th November! May his Soul Rest in Peace! I tried to write without crying but I couldnt hold back the tears!

A rose on your home

We laid a rose on your new home
As it grow so will our hope
That we shall reunite in His kingdom
Let bees flock to get its nectar
As we reminisce the honey-saccharine era
And your jokes that provoked laughter

Let its fragrance remind us of your good deeds
Its thorns remind us that life is not as easy as it seems
On your last home I bow, The rose I kiss
Tears down my cheek I say to Malume REST IN PEACE!

A beautiful and loving elegy. My sympathy for your loss. May the rose take root as the memories of your uncle have in your life.
