There's No one Out There Listenin'

Seeking fame and notoriety
In our values-screwed-up society
If your traits are intellectual
They'll be mostly ineffectual

Those who whip around the track fast
Or throw a winning touchdown pass
Are awarded scholarships as jocks
While scholars go into tuition hock

It is more than inane
For brawn to out shine brain
But, why complain about this system
There's no one out there listenin'

Their is always some one listening ,
The likes of you and I ,
For we talk in to the wind that sound ,
Some one somewhere , will cock an ear ,
Lets hope that someone will pass on what ,
They hear and act upon what they hear before ,
Its to late
