Naively Bizarre
Drops, hardly detectable in oceans so vast
Dissolve historical events from back in the past
Though obscure, their lessons shape future trends
On those drops, history of the future depends
We tend to think only of the now, the contiguous
What came before unimportantly ambiguous
How skewed is that thinking, how mistaken we are
To believe the past irrelevant is naively bizarre
