The March Of Time
Time keeps marching on and on, with nothing else to doWhere it's marching to, we mortals have no clue
It never seems to need a rest, never stopping for a second
Why its' rush to get nowhere fast, none of us have reckoned
It started it's hectic pace at the very beginning of time
It races on and on, yet no longer in its' prime
Perhaps there's a future finish line awaiting time's arrival
Its' goal reached in futurity ensuring time's survival
It then can stop it's marching on, relax and take it easy
Living in a timeless zone will have us all less queasy
