I RECALL YOU TO MIND

I recall you to mind

How we met a long

The road we were

Both walking down

Suddenly found our

Waling side by side

Talking as if we had

Know each other for

Ages

As if our conversation

Had been on going

Quite a spell of time

We talked of our life's

The good the bad and

Indifferent times

Talked of the highs and lows

Good times and the bad times too

Family and friends those who had gone

Of those who remained

Talked of the joys and sorrows we'd

Plenty of some while to much of the other

Talked of gains and loses a long our way

Indeed good friends well met

Then a mist descended

When the mist cleared you were nowhere to see

I miss you my friend I wonder if you miss me

I thought the same thing before I read Joe's comment . . . the one old friend who, if we have been fortunate, comes as a spirit guide to lead us back, if only for awhile, to a better time and a better self.

Ken, this so well written. It reminds me of a spirit contact, a revelation that comes from who knows where and goes with a zephyr of wind. I envy your experience.

It is sad when
friends are lost
in the fog of the past
