i love my bed

Bed

It is evident now that the longer
The unshared bed becomes
The fuller it is adorned with fripperies.
Is this a law?
A universal truth?
Or just proof that we need
Familiars about us?

Please don't touch the bear!
He's mine and he isn't very sociable...
Especially now there are fairy lights.
He sees them as a last refuge and
Won't believe they're pretty.
They are of course...
They sparkle so well as I dream.

So, this is why so many beds are so overloaded. I'd wondered.

I love my bed too
and I use every damn inch of it
along with furbelows and fripperies :-)

So it is "fripperies" that have been missing from mine all these years . . . what a delightful word, I shall have to see what I can make of it.
