THE RECRUITING SARGENT
Unemployment povertyThe recruiting Sargent
The press gangs of the military
At work as ever among us the young
And those who should no better
But when your out of work
Bills to pay , overwhelmed by debts
Kidding them self's '' it wont happen to me! ''
'' Follow orders do as I'm told '' , '' keep me head ''
'' Sign up fore the short term '' '' some how get through them ''
'' Just maybe , just maybe '' things will be better in civy street ''
Three months basic training , off to Afghanistan
His tour had only six days to go , his mate stood on an IED
It blew up , his mate took it but some of it
The lad survived to be repatriated back home
Les both arms and a leg
Now he did no longer worry about having a job
Now his worry's , were of a different kind
