Beggars Can't Be Choosers

If choosers-beggars could be

Options all unlimited

Most he’s would choose a she

Beggar-aly uninhibited

If choosers-beggars could be

Never feeling coerced

Champagne would beat out tea

To fill their guzzling thirst

No longer in need of charity

They’d dress in latest fashion

Good-bye to past austerity

They’d live their lives with passion

But beggars can’t be choosers

It won’t ever be permitted

Society labels them losers

And keeps them so committed

Agreed!
And yet I find myself choosing, sometimes rather blatantly,
in the unlikely event that my request might be granted! We can dream, can't we? :-)

Peter J. Kautsky
States an obvious truth, but I enjoyed sorting through the logic and rhymes.

The '' great and the good'' , come Xmas spent a night on the streets. Then go back to there over central heated abode's . Goose feathered bed's. Then claim they know what it's like to homeless. Just what it's like to be live in poverty. All claiming they are Godly. I'd rather be Godles , thanks.
