The s e a

returns for her shells lapped in pale violet skies
(souls wander between valleys and the hills)

kneel in the cloistering morning thoughts, ( from where? )

Is your love divine, her mortal form defines the mercury in your heart.

reach now through the gathering tides a poem flares ( when? )

how shall we touch here? Beings, ghosts as we are . . .

Only this given us for a time as we were whirled, ( together c l o s e l y )

love you, me,

Before

The s e a .

I thought the structuring was a bit busy, but the sentiment and imagery was beautiful. A really nice poem. Thankyou for sharing.

John.
