Inspired my galateus work '' Poet , speak! or forever be silent ''.

THE POET WRITES TO WARN (INSPIRED BY GALATEUS)

The poet writes to worn

The pity is to few read

Or turn an ear to hear

Should they hear to

What the poet is saying

So few if any bother listen

IF they do decide to bother

It's way late by then

To my friend the philosopher...Ken...you never need worry about high expectations, as you always seem to meet them...

Ken .. The phrase "the voice of Him crying in the wilderness" comes to mind.

It occurs to me that, while we may appreciate each other, we are very different . . . you are a poet of people and the enduring truths they ignore at their peril, I of places and moments. Yours is a very difficult kind of poet to be.

Ah, Ken! Many a poet has the human rudder called a conscience. Many chose to let its impulse reverberate in their writing. Of course, a few would struggle against it. But each have an innate moral compass that serves as a gyroscope, setting the coordinates for each torpedo as they are launched from the Muse's arsenal. This is beginning to sound like the beginning of yet another poem, hahaha.... Contagious revelry in words!
