*Nothing moves outside this pell,
where into you i fell and fell*

Quotation from the little book of Big Alice unless she is small.

Fell and Fell

Where the walls go everwinding ' round the chequered stair
In is out and up is down! There are some that go nowhere,
But even there and if you are or perhaps thought to be
in a space thought out of place even temporarily,
Backtrack in violets dress of shadows sewn fine as may
The rails singing lullabies soothe the jitter flies away,
Or should the mobiles strung like trees shining through your hair
Presume to spout soliloquies transparent as a i r,
In here art fields of mysteries many more than one may tell
* Nothing moves outside this pell, where into you i fell and fell *

Out in the deeps where angels dwell
Where feathers line the quilted quell
Refine your sleep is a spell
For nothing moves outside this pell
Into you fell and f e l l *

I saw infinite setting suns
Behind islands slowly rising from the sea
where dreams were nestled in soothing shades of be
sang to me of curious change, and light which never moves
Whilst all about the heavens blue brightened well
Into you fell and fell
For nothing moves outside this pell
Your sleep is, refine a spell
Where feathers line the quilted quell
Out in the deeps where angels dwell.
